Lease & deposit norms

Standard is 2 months' deposit + 1 month's rent upfront (押二付一); the agency fee is typically half a month's rent. Negotiable, and branded co-living operators may offer 1+1 for credit-checked tenants.

Where to search

Wellcee (唯心所寓, English UI, usually no agency fee), Ziroom (自如, branded co-living) and Beike / Lianjia (贝壳·链家, reliable local compounds). Avoid 58.com and Anjuke — their bait-photo listings are a common trap.
